Rivers and Streams

Our Watershed Group works to restore the rivers and streams of Los Angeles. Healthy rivers promote recreation and economic development while providing natural flood protection and habitat for birds and other wildlife.  The importance of these waterways cannot be overstated; approximately  90% of all wildlife use rivers and streams at some point during their lifetime for food and shelter.  Bringing back natural rivers and streams will provide a branching network of parks,  flowing though our neighborhoods and cities.  We are currently working to restore Stone Canyon Creek as it runs through UCLA's campus.
